Sustainability

Perusini interprets sustainability as an essential pillar of our work, a means to honor and protect the land from which everything originates. Our commitment is focused on preserving the vitality of the territory, ensuring that the wines produced tell its story and embody its identity.

Since 2014, we have been a certified organic company, a milestone that testifies to our concrete and conscious approach. We forgo the use of chemical fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides, opting for practices that respect the ecosystem and protect biodiversity. Soil fertility is ensured exclusively through natural fertilization, using manure and cover crop techniques, which enrich the soil without altering its balance. We have created a reservoir dedicated to collecting rainwater throughout the year, which we use when needed, respecting nature.

This system allows us to irrigate without drawing from underground aquifers, thus contributing to the protection of the territory’s water resources. We have eliminated the use of plastic to seal the cartons, which are fully self-assembling. In the rare cases where reinforcement is needed, we use only paper tape, a choice that promotes recyclable solutions.

Furthermore, we have decided to invest in renewable energy to further reduce our environmental impact. Thanks to a 30 kWh photovoltaic system, we produce the electricity needed for our activities, thus contributing to a sustainable and climate-friendly production model.

These choices are not mere obligations, but part of the company’s vision: we want our work to contribute to the protection of the environment and demonstrate how it is possible to cultivate vineyards and produce good wine.
